History was made in my hometown when my dad (Ex-US Navy) and Charlie Dowell (Ex-US Army), had 2 POW/MIA (Prisoner of War/ Missing In Action) Flags flown in my hometown for Remeberance Day 1999. The flags were flown at Wescast Industries - Casting plant and at the Town Hall. November 11th, 2000; the POW/MIA flag were also flown in Wingham and as well down in Sterling Height, MI. The flags were flown once again at WCW (Wescast Wingham - Casting) and at the town hall. In Sterling Heights, MI; the POW/MIA flag was flown at Wescast Industries.

Below are pictures from November 11th, 1999; as well as the newspaper article that was run in the Wingham Paper. There is also a picture from Wescast this year. Unfortunately I do not have a picture from Sterling Heights, sorry.

Lest we forget,
Spider.
